‚Dialogue of the Objects / Komische Fragmente‘
Performance by Jinran Ha & Johanna Käthe Michels
Jinran Ha’s & Johanna Käthe Michel’s works unravel tensions and emancipatory potentials of feminised care-work within ‘migrant’ spaces and economies. In ‘Dialogue of the Objects / Komische Fragmente’ they give industrially produced objects used in nail studios the ability to talk. Via a digital interface, they chat with each other in Vietnamese, English, and German. The conversation develops into a negotiation of apparently ‘innocently’ voiced racist and sexist stereotypes.
During the opening of ‘gegen\archive: wer bleibt wo’ their work will be activated in a collective reading. The event starts at 6pm on 19 November @acudgalerie
Admission is granted with 2G rules. If you want to attend the performative reading, we recommend you to arrive at 7pm latest.
