On March 26th at 5 pm, we will visit the artist Seraphina Lenz at her studio in Französisch-Buchholz. There, we will learn about her artistic engagement with different urban spaces and how she creates participatory moments for visitors in these spaces. The idea that empathy and solidarity emerge through encounters and shared experiences is a central aspect of her projects. Her site-specific and performative works are often produced in exchange and collaboration with the residents of the respective exhibition sites.
Seraphina Lenz will kick off our exhibition series Ecosystems of Care in May at a former gatekeeper’s house on the Kulturinsel of Ernst-Thälmann Park. For this project, Lenz is compiling a costume collection, which visitors can wear during shared performative walks through the park. This creates encounters and interactions between the walkers and their surroundings.
Due to limited space for the studio visit, we kindly ask for a binding registration via email by March 25th to info@pratergalerie.de.
We look forward to an engaging exchange with you!
